NEW ORLEANS -- University of New Orleans head basketball coach Buzz Williams has resigned after only one season with the Privateers.
Athletic director Jim Miller says Williams wants to "pursue
other career interests" and wasn't more specific.
Television station W-W-L in New Orleans is reporting that
Williams intends to take an assistant coaching job at Marquette.
Williams went 14-and-17, including a 9-and-9 mark in the Sun
Belt Conference, this past season. His team returns four starters
this year.
