DALLAS (AP) - Swingman Devean George has decided to stay with
the Dallas Mavericks after opting out of his contract and testing
the free-agent market.
Agent Mark Bartelstein says George has agreed to a one-year deal
for roughly two-point-four (M) million dollars that keeps him as a
reserve on one of the N-B-A's top teams.
The agent says the deal also positions George for a bigger
payday next summer.
George would've made around two (M) million dollars under the
deal he signed last summer, but he opted out of it last month.
Bartelstein spoke with several teams, only to find the best
combination of salary and championship potential rested with

can't comment before then.
