COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Missouri basketball coach Mike Anderson has suspended senior forward Kalen Grimes for violating team policy.
Grimes started 24 games last season and averaged seven points
and a team-high five-point-six rebounds.
The suspension is for an indefinite period, and it follows an
incident in suburban St. Louis that Grimes was involved in over the
weekend.
Police have not released any details of the incident, and no
charges have been filed.
Anderson says he's disappointed in Grimes, and Grimes will have
to earn the trust of his coaches, teammates and fans.
Missouri began a "zero-tolerance" policy after transfer
DeMarre Carroll was shot in the ankle last week during a
disturbance outside a Columbia nightclub.
