Bad Vlad Wins Derby

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Vladimir Guerrero is the new Home Run Derby champion. The Los Angeles Angels outfielder beat fellow American Leaguer Alex Rios of Toronto in the final round of tonight's Home Run Derby. Guerrero defeated Rios with three homers in the final
round. Rios connected twice.
Angels teammate Garret Anderson won this event in 2003.
Barry Bonds says he really doesn't care if commissioner Bud Selig shows up when he breaks the all-time home run record. Ditto for the home run king, Hank Aaron. Speaking to reporters today, Bonds said it's up to the commissioner if he shows up or not. Regarding Aaron, Bonds says since nobody can predict when he'll break the record, it's not fair to expect the current record holder to show up at every game.
