Blinn Wins in the Pink Zone
The Blinn women's basketball team earned a hard-fought victory on a special night in Brenham.

BRENHAM- The Blinn P.E. Building became a Pink Zone for Wednesday's women's basketball game between the Buccaneers and Kilgore with all proceeds and donations going to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund.
Sarah Daily, who played her high school basketball at A&M Consolidated, drove the lane for a layup giving the Buccaneers a 30-to-29 lead with 2:20 to go in the first half.
They were up by three points at the break and led by as many as 10 in the second half.
Kilgore pulled within one point, but Brateicka Mock hit a point-blank bank shot with 1:49 to play giving the home team a 66-to-63 lead, and the Lady Bucs would go on to win it 73-to-65.
Rashida Young and Jah-Leah Ellis paced Kilgore with 15 points apiece.
Jaleesa Thomas topped Blinn with 16 points.
The Huntsville product hit four treys.
Mock, the Navasota native, added 14 points.
