DALLAS (AP) - The Dallas Mavericks today officially re-signed
swingman Devean George to a one-year deal.
Terms weren't disclosed, but agent Mark Bartelstein has said
George's deal is worth roughly two-point-four (M) million dollars.
George, who turns 30 next month, averaged six-point-four points
and three-point-six rebounds last season.
George would've made around two (M) million dollars under the
deal he signed last summer -- but in June he opted out of it.
Bartelstein spoke with several teams, only to find that the best
combination of salary and championship potential came from Dallas.
