Bryan's Artrell Woods Recovering After Surgery

By: Associated Press

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- Oklahoma State wide receiver Artrell Woods could be released from the hospital in the next few days after having surgery on his injured back, a team trainer said Saturday.

Woods, a Bryan High product, was injured Friday morning in a voluntary offseason workout and had 3 1/2 hours of surgery later in the day, the school said. He was expected to be moved out of intensive care over the weekend and discharged from Oklahoma City's Mercy Hospital in the next several days, head athletic trainer Rob Hunt said.

Woods, a sophomore, played in all 13 of Oklahoma State's games last year and caught two passes for nine yards. He caught four passes for a game-high 111 yards and two touchdowns in the spring game and was considered a potential starter for this season.
