While A&M Consolidated and Bryan were done by noon, Brenham played four games in Saturday's consolation bracket at the FSN Southwest 7-on-7 State Championship.
After a rain delay of about 90 minutes, the opening games got underway with Southlake Carroll eliminating Consol, 21-6.
Bryan and Brenham fared better with the Vikes stopping San Antonio Clark 31-to-16, and the Cubs blanking McNeil, 20-0.
That set up a Brazos Valley battle between Brenham and Bryan.
Team Green's Kyle Mangan, a Texas A&M recruit, set the tone by taking an interception back for the game's first touchdown.
The Cubs eventually ended the Vikes' run, 31-14.
Brenham would then shade Southlake Carroll 30-to-29 before losing in the consolation semifinals to Rowe, 40-27.
In the championship bracket, Georgetown defeated Stratford, 41-24, for the state title.
