WASHINGTON (AP) - Carlos Lee hit a two-run homer and rookie
Hunter Pence added a tiebreaking solo shot in the Houston Astros'
4-to-2 win over the Washington Nationals.
Chris Sampson is 7-and-6 with the win. He got help from Roy
Oswalt, the Astros staff ace who made his first relief appearance in more than a year. Brad Lidge, back in the role as Houston's closer, pitched the ninth inning for his first save since last September 28th. That ends the Astros' seven-game road losing slide.
All but one of the game's runs came on a pair of solo homers by
Ronnie Belliard and Ryan Zimmerman. Tim Redding is 1-and-2 despite
seven decent innings.
