WASHINGTON, DC -- Ryan Langerhans hit a three-run homer and
Jason Bergmann won for the first time in more than two months as
the Washington Nationals held on to beat visiting Houston 7-to-6.
The Nats led 7-to-2 after five innings.

Bergmann was charged with four runs and six hits over seven-plus
innings, earning his first victory since May 14th when he took a
no-hitter into the eighth against Atlanta. He improves to 2-and-5.

Washington did all of its scoring against Astros starter Jason
Jennings, who lost his fifth consecutive start and is 1-and-6 on
the year. It's the worst stretch of the 2002 National League Rookie
of the Year's career.
