Melvin Bullitt & Jacob Green Encourage Ags on Pro Day
17 Aggies showed off for the NFL scouts on Pro Day.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas—Texas A&M football players who have completed their NCAA eligibility went through various drills and individual workouts for nine NFL football teams on Wednesday on the Aggieland campus.
The 17 players included14 seniors and three players from the 2008 squad. The seniors were Chevar Bryson (DB), Matt Featherston (LB), Corey Gibas (DS), Lee Grimes (OL), Anthony Lewis (LB), Kevin Matthews (OL), Jamie McCoy (TE), Justin McQueen (DB), Howard Morrow (WR), Matt Moss (DL), Ryan O’Bryant (RB), Jordan Pugh (DB), Michael Shumard (OL) and Vince Williams (OL). The three players from the 2008 squad were punter Justin Brantly and defensive backs Arkeith Brown and Alton Dixon.
The top vertical jump was turned in by Jordan Pugh with a 40.5 leap with Arkeith Brown posting a 38.5-inch jump and Howard Morrow leaping 37 inches.
Brown, Pugh and Justin McQueen all posted standing long jumps of over 10 feet.
Kevin Matthews turned in the most reps in the 225-pound bench press with 32 reps followed by Matt Moss with 30.
Pugh posted the fastest 40-time with a 4.48 clocking from the pro scouts with Brown right behind him with a 4.49 time.
In attendance at the event was Indianapolis Colts’ Super Bowl starter and former A&M defensive back Melvin Bullitt along with former NFL defensive line All-Pro and Aggie standout Jacob Green. They joined Aggie head coach Mike Sherman and the football staff in support of the players.
The 2010 Aggie football team will begin spring drills on Tuesday, Mar. 23.
