A&M to Host Judo Championships
25 universities will be represented at the Collegiate Judo Association Championships this weekend at Texas A&M.

Texas A&M University Judo will host the 49th National Collegiate Judo Association Championships on March 13, 2010. The event will be held at the Texas A&M Student Recreation Center with the competition beginning at 9:00 am. 125-130 athletes from 25 universities and colleges are expected to compete at this championships.

Past USA Olympic Team members competed in previous NCJA Championships. Judo, an Olympic Sports since 1964, is a grappling sport that utilizes, throws (take downs), pins and submission techniques (strangles and armlocks). Texas A&M hosted the championships in 1992 and 1998.
