HOUSTON (AP) - Roy Oswalt outpitched Greg Maddux to lead the Houston Astros to a 3-to-1 win over the San Diego Padres. Carlos Lee homered for the third time in four games for the Astros.
Oswalt is 10-and-6. He matched his season high with ten
strikeouts. Oswalt has won seven of his last eight starts against
the Padres, including the last three.
With his 108th career win, Oswalt passed J-R Richard and moved
into fourth place on the franchise's win list. He's two wins away
from tying Mike Scott for third place.
Brad Lidge pitched a scoreless ninth to earn his sixth save.
Maddux fell to 7-and-8. He has won since June 27th.
