Blue Jays 9 Rangers 5

TORONTO - Frank Thomas hit 2 home runs to pass Eddie Murray
for 20th place on the all-time home run list and helped the Toronto
Blue Jays beat the Texas Rangers 9-5.
The Big Unit hit a 3-run homer in the first and added a solo
homer in the third, giving him 505 in his career. It's his 2nd
multihomer game of the season and the 31st of his career.
Jays right-hander Shaun Marcum won his 3rd straight to get to
8-and-4 on the year.
Rangers emergency starter Willie Eyre gave up 6 runs and 7 hits
over 2 and a-third innings and drops to 3-and-4 with the loss. He
got the nod after Texas placed Kameron Loe on the 15-day disabled
list with a stiff back.
The Blue Jays extended their home winning streak to 7 games, and
have outscored opponents 50-12 over that span.
Texas has lost 6 of 8 following a season-high 4-game winning
streak.
