SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Dallas Cowboy Chris Canty pumped his fist
after getting to the quarterback.
He then celebrated -- with another tackle -- by doing a leaping
in-air bump.
There was also a scuffle with the running back.
And that's just in training camp in San Antonio.
Canty -- who's a third-year defensive end -- says he has an
aggressive personality and he lives to compete.
That works with the restructured 3-4 defense under new coach
Wade Phillips.
It's a more aggressive blitz-steady style, far from the somewhat
conservative way coach Bill Parcells used the system - and
sometimes confined the 6-foot-7, 299-pound Canty.
Despite starting every game last season, Canty had only one sack
and didn't have a tackle for a loss. He did tie for the team lead
with seven quarterback pressures.
