SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Training camp isn't over for the Dallas
Cowboys -- even though they've had their last workout in San
The Cowboys today ended their 15-day stay inside with a short
walkthrough at the Alamodome.
Coach Wade Phillips says they're still in training camp -- but
at home in Dallas.
The Cowboys play their preseason opener at home tomorrow against
Super Bowl champion Indianapolis, then resumes practice Saturday at
Next week, the Cowboys practice Monday and Tuesday before
consecutive two-a-day sessions with the Denver Broncos -- their
second preseason opponent.

The Dallas Cowboys next year will return to the same city where they broke training camp today -- San Antonio.
But there's a schedule situation.
The Cowboys knew, when they signed a five-year contract to
return training camp from California to the Alamodome, that there
would be a schedule conflict in 2008.
But owner Jerry Jones plans for the team to be back in San
Antonio for camp next year.
The Church of God has the Alamodome booked from next July 29th
through August 13th for its national convention.
There is the possibility that the Cowboys get a fifth preseason
game next year, meaning they could practice in the Alamodome for
about a week before the church convention.
Another option is working outdoors at the San Antonio school
complex, like they did some in 2003.
