COLLEGE STATION, Texas— The Texas A&M football team worked twice on Saturday inside Kyle Field.
The morning practice was in full pads with full speed special team plays as well as some scrimmaging situations. The evening practice was in shorts and helmets.
“We saw some good things, but we saw some obvious things that we need to clean up,” Aggie Head Coach Dennis Franchione said. “We’ve got plenty to do in the next four days before turning our attention to our first opponent.”
Coach Fran mentioned he would take a look at walkon linebacker Nick LaMantia at a fullback position for a couple of days. He also mentioned he was pleased with the hard work of this team and how physical the practices have been.
The Aggies open the 2007 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 1 against Montana State at Kyle Field. Kick is scheduled for 6 p.m.
