Nationals Shut Out Astros

HOUSTON -- Tim Redding and Jesus Colome combined on a seven-hit shutout and the Washington Nationals blanked the Houston Astros 7-0 to end a four-game losing streak.

Redding is 3-and-3. He pitched for Houston for four seasons
before he was traded to San Diego in 2005.

Dmitri Young hit a three-run homered. Newly acquired Wily Mo
Pena homered for the second straight game and added an RBI single for Washington, which began its season-high 10-game road trip with a victory.

Washington had scored more than four runs just once in its
previous 11 games.

Jason Jennings is 2-and-9 with the loss. He has just one win in
12 starts since June 19th.
