COLLEGE STATION -- Texas A&M senior forward Ashlee Pistorius was one of 18 players selected to the Soccer Buzz 2007 Preseason All-America squad, the magazine announced Monday.

“I am extremely proud of Ashlee,” A&M head coach G Guerrieri said. “She is a very dedicated and unselfish player and it is very exciting to see her hard work on the field highlighted in this manner.”

Pistorius held the team lead in goals scored (15) and points (35) last season. She ranks third all-time in Aggie career goals (56) and game-winning goals (19) and sits fourth all-time in total points (135).

In her junior campaign, the Illinois-native earned Soccer Buzz second team All-America and NSCAA/adidas Women's Division I All-America honors as well as being a part of the NSCAA/adidas NCAA Division I Women All-Central Region first team, All-Big 12 second team and Big 12 Championship All-Tournament team.
