Bryan (7-2) defeated Brenham in the opening home match of the season 25-21, 22-25, 25-15, 25-18. Bryan was led by Megan Destefano with 13 kills, Kaylee Piatt with 10, and Tiffany Regmund with 8. Kallie Pence led the way defensively with 19 digs, and Amanda Cune recorded 17. Regmund also had 3 service aces, and Pence had 33 assists. Amanda Cernovich had 4 solo blocks and 2 block assists, Regmund had 4 block assists and 2 solo blocks, and Sarah Atkins had 3 block assists. The varsity team will play in the Spring Branch tournament this weekend.

The Bryan JV team (3-0) won 25-19, 23-25, 25-20, and the Freshman team (2-0) won 28-26, 25-17. The freshman and junior varsity teams will compete this Saturday in the Bryan Freshman/Junior Varsity tournament.
