Tyson Gay has a third gold medal to hang around his neck from the World Championships. The sprint star blew around the final curve to give the U.S. 400-meter relay team the gold. Gay adds that medal to the ones he won in the 100 and 200 meters to join Carl Lewis and Maurice Green as the only other Americans to earn the gold hat trick at one world championship.
Allyson Felix is on the verge of becoming the fourth. She was
part of the women's 400-meter relay team that won the gold medal.
That comes a day after her victory in the 200-meters. Felix goes
for her third gold of the championships as part of the U.S. team in
the 1600-meter relay tomorrow.
Brad Walker added to the American gold count with his victory in
the pole vault. He topped the field with a vault of 19 feet,
