Glavine Takes Advantage Of Astros' Ineptitude

NEW YORK (AP) - Tom Glavine retired the first 15 men he faced as
New York's Mets beat Houston 3-1. Glavine lost a no-hit bid in the
sixth when Cody Ransom singled. The win gives Glavine a record of
13-and-6. Woody Williams was the loser and falls to 8-and-14.
David Wright gave the Mets a 1-0 lead in the third inning with
his 27th home run of the season. They scored solo runs in the
fourth and fifth innings as well while the Astros' lone run came in
the eighth.
Billy Wagner came on in the ninth to record his 31st save of the
season.
