NEW YORK CITY, NY -- Top-seed Justine Henin overwhelmed fourth-seed Svetlana Kuznetsova 6-1, 6-3 to win her second U.S. Open title and seventh major championship overall.
Henin also won the 2003 Open. She did not drop a set all
tournament and became the first woman to win a Grand Slam after
beating both Williams sisters along the way.
