COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Texas A&M's mascot Reveille is in
the doghouse.
The 6-year-old collie missed yesterday's triple-overtime win
against Fresno State after she snapped at her cadet handler for
stepping on her tail while running earlier in the week.
A&M's vice president for student affairs said today that
Reveille was quarantined at the university's veterinary school for
a couple of days as part of a standard operating procedure. The
mascot will be back on the sidelines for the Aggies' game with
Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday.
Reveille is considered the highest-ranking member of the
school's Corps of Cadets. She stands at attention in her maroon
coat during sporting events and other functions.
