Equestrian Kick-Off Party Slated for Sept. 28

COLLEGE STATION -- The six-time national champion Texas A&M equestrian team will hold a season kick-off party on Friday, Sept. 28 at 6 p.m. at the Brazos County Expo Center Arena.

The evening of activities, which is open to anyone and everyone, will be headlined by motivational speaker Charles ³Tank² Marshall, who played for the A&M football team from 1973-76.

Also in attendance will be the Johnny Cash Cover Band, which sports a member of the equestrian team within its ranks. Aggie junior Amanda Ryan (Ramona, Calif.), who helped lead the western team to its second varsity national title in three years, plays the violin in the band.

Food will be provided by Buppy¹s. Advance tickets are $12 and $15 at the door ($10 for children). The Expo Center is located at 5827 Leonard Road in Bryan. For more information and to RSVP, please contact Director of Operations Katie Cahill at kforest@athletics.tamu.edu by Sept. 25.
