A&M Women Tied For 10th In South Carolina

HANAHAN, S.C. -- Freshman Sarah Zwartynski carded and even-par 72 on Monday and as Texas A&M remained tied for 10th after the second round of the Cougar Classic at Yeamans Hall Country Club.

The final round is Tuesday.

Zwartynski is tied for seventh individually with a one-under 71-72=143
total. Notre Dame's So-Hyun Park leads at 70-69=139.

Tennessee leads the team standings at 576, followed by Notre Dame (579), Texas (581), Alabama (584), LSU (585), North Carolina State (585), North Carolina (586), South Carolina (589), Florida State (591), A&M (297-299=596), Furman (596), Miami (598), South Florida (599), Mississippi State (602), College of Charleston (604), UNC Greensboro (606), Maryland (607), Mississippi (617), Penn State (629) and Richmond (656).

A&M junior Lauren Johnson is tied for 26th (71-76=147), sophomore Ashley Freeman is tied for 47th (76-75=151), junior Jodi Neal is tied for 88th (79-80=159) and freshman Sara Hemingway is tied for 91st (85-76=161).

The Aggies are playing without All-America candidate Danielle McVeigh, who is representing her native Ireland at the Ladies' Home International Matches in Scotland. McVeigh earned All-Big 12 honors and was the league's co-newcomer of the year last season as a freshman.
