ORLANDO, FL -- Colt McCoy threw 259 yards and two touchdowns in helping sixth-ranked Texas hold off upset-minded Central Florida 35-32 in the first game in UCF's new on-campus stadium. Jamaal Charles clinched it with a 46-yard run late in the game.
Ryan Bailey kicked five field goals for 3-and-0 Texas. The Longhorns regrouped after squandering a 13-point lead to fall behind 24-23 early in the fourth quarter.
Charles ran for 153 yards on 22 carries.
McCoy completed 32 of 47 passes and was intercepted once. Quan
Cosby had 10 receptions for 67 yards in the Longhorns' first appearance in the state of Florida in 34 years.
