WACO -- Blake Szymanski threw for 411 yards and five touchdowns to help Baylor beat Texas State 34-27 on Saturday night.
Szymanski was a yard short of the school-record passing mark he
set last weekend in a 42-17 victory over Rice.
The sophomore threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to Brad Taylor with 2:34 remaining to give Baylor a 34-20 cushion.
Szymanski was 30-of-50 and threw TD passes to five receivers.
