LOUDON, N.H. (AP) - Clint Bowyer has won the first stop in the
Chase for the championship series by finishing first at New
Hampshire International Speedway in the Sylvania 300. He entered
the 12-driver Chase as the only contender without a win this
season.
Jeff Gordon finished second, more than six seconds behind. The
four-time series champion was followed by two-time champion Tony
Stewart and Kyle Busch.
The next stop in the Chase for the championship is next Sunday
at Dover International Speedway for the Dover 400.
