COLLEGE STATION -- Golf Digest predicts that Texas A&M will capture the 2008 Big 12 Men's Golf Championship. The predictions were released on the magazine's website (golfdigest.com) on Tuesday.
The Aggies return all five starters from last season when they were the
conference runners-up, including all-conference picks Bronson Burgoon, Bobby Gates and Martin Piller. Coach J.T. Higgins also welcomes a stellar recruiting class.
A&M's two-time defending champion women's team is picked to finish second behind Oklahoma State after losing two-time player of the year Ashley Knoll to graduation. Freshman Sarah Zwartynski is tabbed as the league's top freshman.
The Aggies return all-conference players Lauren Johnson and Danielle
McVeigh.
