TULSA, OK -- Allen Patrick ran for 145 yards and two touchdowns and Sam Bradford threw two more to Juaquin Iglesias as Number 4 Oklahoma outraced Tulsa 62-to-21 tonight.
DeMarco Murray added two touchdown runs and returned a kickoff
for another TD.
The Sooners (4-0) have put up at least 50 points in all four of
their games, something they haven't done since 2003, when they
capped that run with a 65-to-13 victory over Texas.
After TU quickly moved downfield following an interception for
an early lead, the Sooners scored on five straight first-half
possessions.
Paul Smith threw for two scores and ran for another to lead
Tulsa (2-1), which scored more touchdowns than Oklahoma's first
three opponents combined.
But its spread scheme -- transported from Arkansas by offensive
coordinator Gus Malzahn -- couldn't keep up with all the Sooners'
talent on offense.
