AUSTIN, Texas -- Colt McCoy passed for 333 yards and three
touchdowns to lead seventh-ranked Texas to an easy 58-14 win over
Rice in the Longhorns' last game before the start of the Big 12
schedule.
Limas Sweed caught five passes for 139 yards with touchdowns of 52 and 24 yards for the 4-and-0 Longhorns.
Texas led the winless Owls 41-0 in the second quarter. The final
score could have been much worse but McCoy and most of Texas
starters were on the bench after the first series of the third.
