HOUSTON (AP) - The Houston Texans didn't win the game, but they
did lend some credibility to their first-ever 2-and-0 start in their 30-24 loss to defending Super Bowl champion Indianapolis.
Houston stayed close despite playing without star receiver Andre
Johnson, who sprained his knee last week, and running back Ahman
(AH'-mahn) Green who left the game after inuring a knee during the
first series of the second quarter.
Joseph Addai (uh-DY') ran for two touchdowns and Adam Vinatieri
(vihn-uh-TEHR'-ee) added three field goals to lead the Colts to
their third win in as many outings this season.
Houston defensive tackle Cedric Killings was taken off the field
on a stretcher after a headfirst collision with Indianapolis
receiver Roy Hall while blocking on a kickoff in the
second-quarter. The Texans said Killings suffered a neck injury,
but has feeling in his extremities. Killings was taken to a
hospital.
