HUNTSVILLE -- Sam Houston State had the week off, but still saw a little
movement in this week's FCS top 25 polls. The remained No. 15 in the FCS Coaches Poll and jumped two spots to No. 15 in the Sports Network Poll.

While the Bearkats were at home watching football on Saturday, the Football Championship Subdivision experienced a major shakeup at the top. Unanimous No. 1 Appalachian State fell on Saturday to Wofford, creating indecision as to who the new No. 1 team is.

Montana has moved to the top of the new polls, however, eight different teams received No. 1 votes this week in the Sports Network rankings, including two for No. 6 McNeese State. In the Coaches Poll, four different teams received No. 1 votes including one for McNeese which was No. 6 in that poll as well.

One other Southland Conference team, Nicholls State, jumped back into the polls with a 30-28 win over Azusa Pacific. The Colonels are No. 22 in the Coaches Poll and are No. 23 in the latest Sports Network rankings.

The Bearkats will step out on FCS play this week when they travel to
Stillwater, Okla., to take on Oklahoma State
