A&M Consolidated Beats Bryan 56-20 In Crosstown Showdown

COLLEGE STATION, Texas The A&M Consolidated Tigers beat the Bryan Vikings 56-20 Friday night at Kyle Field. It was the ninth straight win for the Tigers in the Crosstown Showdown series.

Consol scored the first 35 points of the game. 14 of those points came off Bryan special teams mistakes. After the Tigers recovered a fumbled punt Kobe Miller hit Corey Dukes with a 17 yard touchdown pass to give Consol a 21-0 lead. After the Tigers blocked a Bryan punt Brandon Jackson scored on a four yard touchdown run to push the Tiger lead to 28-0.

Bryan would get on the board in the second quarter on a B.J. Ross four yard touchdown pass to Bobby Jackson. The Vikings would trail 42-6 at the half. KeeKee Johnson would score on a one yard touchdown in the third quarter to make it 42-13.

Consol would answer with a 47 yard Jackson touchdown run. It was his third touchdown run of the game.

The Tigers will return home October 18 to face College Park. Bryan will be on the road to face Lufkin.
