BRYAN, TX -- The A&M Consolidated Tigers are coming off one of the biggest wins in program history last week following a 30-28 win over previously number 1 ranked Lake Travis, but that win won't get the Tigers to the playoffs. What they do over the next six games is what matters, so it's important to put the big win behind them and focus on their district opener against Lufkin.
"These kids are awesome that way," said Tiger Head Coach David Raffield. "But it's the responsibility of the coaches to get everybody refocused. I think we've had a great week of work. Hopefully that is in our past and we're looking ahead," added Raffield.
Not only is Friday night the Tigers' 14-5A district opener, but it's also homecoming for A&M Consolidated.
Kickoff is set for 7-30 at Tigerland Stadium.
