A&M Consolidated baseball sweeps Temple to advance in 5A playoffs

COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The A&M Consolidated offense came through in the clutch and the Tigers completed the sweep of district rival Temple 10-7 to advance to the 5A Region II Semifinals.

Consol scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to extend a 5-4 lead to 10-4.

Temple scored three times in their final at-bat but could not complete the comeback.

A&M Consolidated will face Tomball in the regional semifinals.

Game 1: Thursday, 7 pm, Tomball
Game 2: Friday, 7 pm, College Station
Game 3: Friday, 1 pm, Brenham (if necessary)
