COLLEGE STATION – The Southeastern Conference has released the schedule for the 2014 baseball season. Texas A&M’s 30-game SEC slate will begin on the road on March 14 with a three-game series at Auburn, and wraps up with a home series against Ole Miss, May 15-17.
The Aggies will play 10 weeks of conference games with five, three-game series at Blue Bell Park and five series on the road. Texas A&M will play six series against teams from the Western Division and four series against teams from the conference’s Eastern Division.
For series against Eastern Division foes, the Aggies will host Kentucky and Florida and travel to Georgia and Vanderbilt. A&M’s Western Division schedule will have the Maroon and White hosting Alabama, LSU and Ole Miss and traveling to Auburn, Mississippi State and Arkansas.
For the 2014 season, Texas A&M will not have regular season series against SEC East foes Missouri, South Carolina or Tennessee.
The first nine weekends are currently slated to run from Friday to Sunday, but can be moved to Thursday to Saturday as part of the SEC TV package. The final weekend of the season is scheduled for Thursday to Saturday.
Texas A&M recently wrapped up its inaugural season in the SEC, earning a bid to the SEC Tournament and a berth to a school-record seventh consecutive NCAA Championship.
