COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The Texas Aggie football team returned to the Coolidge Grass Practice Fields today as they begin the final week of spring practice.

Kevin Sumlin put his Aggies through nearly a 2 1/2 hour workout on Tuesday, their first workout since their "Friday Night Lights" scrimmage.

"We had 107 plays and a lot of red-zone work. We got plenty done," said Sumlin.

The workouts have given new assistant coach Mark Hagen a chance to get to know the group of linebackers he will be working with and Hagen likes what he has seen.

"I think there is obviously a challenge replacing Porter and Stewart, but that's why you coach," added Hagen. "It's a challenge, but I've enjoyed working with those new faces."

The Aggies will host their Maroon and White game on Saturday at 2 at Kyle Field.
