Aggie Football Players to Participate in Senior All-Star Games

COLLEGE STATION—Christine Michael and Steven Terrell are two Texas A&M senior football players who will participate in All-Star Games this Saturday, Jan. 19, while two other Aggie seniors, Sean Porter and Ryan Swope, prepare for the Senior Bowl scheduled for Jan. 26.
Running back Christine Michael from Beaumont will wear his familiar jersey No. 33 and play in the 88th Annual East-West Shrine Game being held at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. central and will be televised by the NFL Network. The West squad is led by head coach Leeman Bennett who was a former NFL head coach for the Atlanta Falcons and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Defensive back Steven Terrell from Allen, one of four Aggie team captains on the squad that finished 11-2 in 2012 and ended the year ranked No. 5 in the final polls, will wear No. 41 as he plays in the Raycom College Football All-Star Classic held at Cramton Field in Montgomery, Alabama. Terrell will play for the Stars and the head coach is Jim Bates, a 17-year NFL coaching veteran and he served as interim head coach of the Miami Dolphins in 2004. His defensive coordinator is former Texas A&M defensive coordinator Joe Kines. The game will kick at 2 p.m. central and will be televised by the CBS Sports Network.
Two other Aggie senior captains, wide receiver Ryan Swope from Austin and linebacker Sean Porter from Schertz, report to Mobile, Alabama, on Saturday, Jan. 19 in preparation for the Senior Bowl which is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 26 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. The game will kick at 3 p.m. central and will be televised by the NFL Network.
