COLLEGE STATION, TX -- The Texas A&M team is closing in on the conclusion of spring practice and tomorrow night the Aggies will mark the end of their fourth week of workouts as they practice under the lights at Kyle Field for their only night-time workout of the spring.
"Friday Night Lights" will give the 12th Man a chance to demonstrate their spirit to some of the best high school recruits across the country as well as being the best gauge during Spring practice for Aggies to see what Heisman Trophy Winner Johnny Manziel and the Aggies have in-store for the upcoming 20-13 season.
"We'll go a hundred and some plays and scrimmage because we want to get true evaluations against people because it's not on television and we're running our offense and defense," said head coach Kevin Sumlin.
"We've also got some of our top targets, student athlete recruits that are going to be there. Night time atmosphere. We'll get cranked up at 8. We'll make a deal with the students, we'll get done by 10 and that's when Chili-Fest really gets kicked up. We'll give ya something to do until then and then everybody can head out there," Sumlin ended laughing.
After Friday's workout, the team will have 3 more practice sessions, with the final one being the Maroon and White game next Saturday at Kyle Field at 2pm.
