Aggie Softball Announces Summer Skills Camp

By  |

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Head Coach Jo Evans and the Texas A&M softball team announced today the addition of a summer skills camp set for Aug. 24.
The camp, split into a hitting session and a pitching session, will be open to players ages 10-to-18. Attendees will receive instruction from current and former members of the Texas A&M softball team, as well as the Aggies’ award-winning coaching staff. The hands-on instruction of the camp is specially designed to improve each aspect of a player’s game.
Campers attending the 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. hitting session should bring a bat, batting gloves, a batting helmet, cleats and tennis shoes. Pitchers will work from 2 p.m. – 6 p.m. and should bring a glove, cleats and tennis shoes, but will not need to bring their own catcher.
To maximize instruction and repetition, spaces are limited so sign up now. Each session will cost $100, and a $25 discount is available to those who register for both clinics. To register, fill out a Summer Skills Camp brochure and mail it in, or go online to and click on Registration.
The Aggies ended the 2013 season at the NCAA Super Regional level with their eighth 40-win season under Evans in the books. To learn more about Texas A&M softball, log on to and follow @AggieSoftball on Twitter.
