COLLEGE STATION, Texas—The Texas A&M women’s golf team will compete Sunday through Tuesday at the Alamo Invitational in San Antonio.

The Aggies are returning after the team tied for fifth at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship Oct. 12-14 in Knoxville, Tennessee. At that same tournament, senior women’s golfer Mary Michael Maggio placed third individually. Maggio carded three birdies to have a three-day score of 213 (-3).

The senior standout has had two top-five finishes this season, as she finished first individually in the Liz Murphey Fall Preview in October.

Maggio will be joined in team play at the Alamo Invitational by junior Katerina Ruzickova, junior Natalie Reeves, senior Sarah Beth Davis and junior Chelsea Mocio, while senior Aly Smith will compete as an individual.

The 54-hole tournament is hosted by the University of Texas at San Antonio and will be held at the Golf Club of Texas at Briggs Ranch. The course is a typical par-72 and stretches an impressive 7,022 yards and will host the 2012 USGA Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship. Furthermore, Golfweek ranked the course as the top residential course in Texas for six years in a row.

Smith will tee off at 12:20 p.m. from the 10th hole with individuals from Baylor and UTSA. Live scoring for the event can be found at GolfStat.com.
