COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M Soccer team moved up four spots to No. 6 in the most recent National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Poll released on Tuesday morning.

The Aggies also advanced to No. 8 in the Soccer America ranking, also revealed on Tuesday, and remained at No. 3 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com (TDS) Tournament 64 ranking announced on Monday.

After spending the last two weeks at No. 10, the Aggies were rewarded for a pair of shutouts over the weekend, including a 2-0 win over defending SEC regular-season champion South Carolina on Friday and a 2-0 win over defending SEC tournament champion Auburn on Sunday. The Maroon and White extended the program-record shutout streak to seven games. This marks the highest ranking of the year for Texas A&M which was slotted 14th in the preseason poll.

This week, the Aggies moved up four spots from No. 12 in the Soccer America poll after moving to 4-0 to start league play for the first time since 2006.

The Maroon and White are off to a 10-1-0 start on the season. Texas A&M’s current nine-game win streak is the longest since the Aggies strung together 10 consecutive wins in 2007. The Aggies' defense has only allowed three goals in 11 games on the season, including one goal during the current nine-game win streak.

Texas A&M travels to Lexington, Ky., on Friday for a match against the Kentucky Wildcats at 6 p.m. Central.
