COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M Soccer team remained at No. 10, in the most recent National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire Poll released on Tuesday morning, but moved up the line in other rankings. The Aggies advanced to No. 3 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com (TDS) Tournament 64 ranking released on Monday and No. 12 in the Soccer America ranking released on Tuesday.
Last week marked the first time this season that the Aggies were in the Top 10 in the NSCAA rankings. Texas A&M was ranked 14th in the preseason poll.
This week, the Aggies moved up one spot from No. 4 in the TDS ranking and five spots from No. 17 in the Soccer America poll.
The Maroon and White are off to an 8-1-0 start on the season. Texas A&M has posted five consecutive shutouts for the first time in school history and have blanked opponents in six of the last seven games. The Aggies' defense has only allowed three goals in nine games on the season, including one goal during the current seven-game win streak.
Texas A&M makes its SEC home debut on Friday evening when the Aggies host the South Carolina Gamecocks in a 7 p.m. match at Ellis Field.
