For years, when you thought of football on Thanksgiving, you might think Dallas Cowboys in the pros, but you always thought Texas A&M versus Texas in the college ranks.

Now that the Ags are in the SEC, the Horns and Aggies are not playing each other for the first time since 1897.

Both teams have gone their seperate ways, and both have had their share of success so far this season.

The Aggies are looking for their first ten win season since 1998 Saturday against Missouri, and the Longhorns can get their 9th win Thursday night against TCU.

Many will miss UT and A&M not playing each other Thanksgiving night, and, ever so slightly, so will some Aggie players.

"We're not playing each other this year, so I need to at least feel like I'm playing in the game," said Texas A&M wide receiver Uzoma Nwachukwu.

Aggie defensive lineman Spencer Nealy was a bit surprised that UT was still playing Thanksgiving.

"This is the first I'm hearing about them playing," said Nealy. Nealy says he just got a new puppy and that will probably be what consumes his time on Thanksgiving.

The Longhorns kick off with TCU at 6:30 on ESPN Thursday night.

The Aggies and Mizzou meet Saturday at 6 on ESPN2.
