COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The 10th-ranked Texas A&M women’s tennis team looks to remain unbeaten at home this season as it faces off with 22nd-ranked Kentucky at 4 p.m. Friday at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center. The Aggies (7-3, 1-1 SEC) are 4-1 in their last five contests while the Wildcats (12-2, 2-0) are unbeaten in conference play.

Kentucky leads the all-time series, 10-2, including a 4-0 mark in matches played in College Station. Last year in the first-ever meeting as conference foes, A&M defeated Kentucky, 5-2, in Lexington to snap a four-match losing skid against the Wildcats.

The Maroon and White have claimed the doubles point in five-of-nine matches this season (the doubles point against Florida was not played as the match was decided in singles). The tandem of Stefania Hristov and Cristina Stancu lead the team in wins with a 5-2 record with all decisions coming from the top doubles lineup. The pairs of Ines Dheza and Saska Gavrilovska as well as Rutuja Bhosale and Anna Mamalat look to remain perfect at the No. 2 and 3 lines, respectively. Both duos are 2-0 this spring.

In singles, Gavrilovska and Hristov lead the team in wins. Gavrilovska, the No. 57 ranked player by the ITA, is 6-3 overall and 2-2 from the No. 2 line. Hristov has posted a 6-2 mark, going 4-1 from the No. 5 line. Additionally, 15th-ranked Stancu and Deheza have also contributed five wins apiece. Stancu holds a 5-3 record from the top singles line while Deheza has gone 2-1 from both No. 1 and No. 4 and 1-0 from No. 3.

For the Wildcats, 56th-ranked Nadia Ravita, the SEC’s reigning player of the week, is a perfect 7-0 from the No. 1 singles line, winning her last two contests against conference foes. Aldila Sutjiadi sits at 4-2 from the No. 2 line and 8-2 overall while Kelsey Dieters rounds out the top-half of Kentucky’s lineup at 7-6 overall. In doubles, the duo of Caitlin McGraw and CeCe Witten look to begin 10-0 from the top-doubles line. Ravita and Sutjiadi form a tandem at No. 2 and have posted a 6-0 record thus far.

The Texas A&M women’s tennis team returns to action on Sunday when it welcomes seventh-ranked Vanderbilt to the Mitchell Center for a match at noon. To learn more about the women’s tennis team, visit and follow @AggieWTEN on Twitter.
