Aggies Spend Saturday at Kyle Field

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M football team held their second scrimmage of preseason camp Saturday night at Kyle Field.

Aggie head coach Kevin Sumlin had a chance to see a lot of players in action today. After the scrimmage Sumlin said, "I think every guy out of 105 played out there today so that was key to get them on video. We had a bunch of plays, 70 some plays without the kicking plays really giving them an opportunity, particularly these young guys in the defensive line and in the secondary and those receivers got a bunch of snaps and those are the guys we really wanted to pay attention to today."

Sumlin also said defensive back Deshazor Everett had a broken thumb but would not say if he will miss game action because of the injury.

The Aggie will not practice tomorrow. The team will have two practices on Monday. Sumlin said preparations for Rice will begin on Thursday probably. The Aggies will face the Owls in the season opener August 31 at Kyle Field. The game will kick-off at noon. It will be televised on ESPN.
