FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas has gone from a preseason national championship hopeful to a team just hoping to make a bowl game at this point.
The Razorbacks (1-3) lost their third straight on Saturday, falling 35-26 to Rutgers. They did so despite 419 yards passing from quarterback Tyler Wilson, as well as a Southeastern Conference-record 303 yards receiving and three touchdowns by senior Cobi Hamilton.
Arkansas' secondary, which is 111th in the nation in pass defense, allowed a career-best 397 yards passing by Scarlet Knights quarterback Gary Nova.
Nova threw for five touchdowns in leading Rutgers back from an early 10-0 deficit. The Scarlet Knights are now 4-0 for the first time since 2006, and the win was their first over an SEC team since 2004.
