STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Needing a two-minute drive to pull out a win on the road and keep Texas' perfect start intact, quarterback David Ash says he leaned on his faith to bring himself calmness and confidence.
With a clutch performance that included a fourth down conversion, Ash provided the Longhorns (4-0) another reason to have faith in him.
Ash completed 30 of 38 passes for 304 yards and three touchdowns Saturday night in a 41-36 win at defending Big 12 champion Oklahoma State that bumped Texas up one spot to No. 11 in The Associated Press poll on Sunday.
Coach Mack Brown believes Ash's faith has been key in his development into a leader after he split time as the starter last season.
